About Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

The S.M.A.S.H. team is pitched as heroes on a mission to change the public's mind about the Hulk. Rick Jones has drones film the team everywhere they go for an online reality show, and that framing runs through the episodes. From their base near Vista Verde, the Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, A-Bomb and Skaar take on the Leader, their main enemy, while newest member Skaar wrestles with where his loyalties lie. In season 2 they are framed and hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and the military, then face the Leader's time-travel plots and a Kree invasion.

Paul Dini and Henry Gilroy developed the series with Marvel Animation, and Film Roman produced it. It aired on Disney XD's Marvel Universe block from August 2013 to June 2015, with two seasons of 26 half-hour episodes. Fred Tatasciore voices the Hulk, Eliza Dushku is She-Hulk, Clancy Brown voices Red Hulk and Seth Green voices Rick Jones/A-Bomb, with Benjamin Diskin and James Arnold Taylor also in the cast. Reviews were lukewarm; IGN called the premiere a disappointing, joke-heavy addition to Disney XD's Marvel lineup.

Good to know

How to watch it

Watch this alongside Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spider-Man, which aired with it on the same block. It isn't MCU continuity. Season 1 sets up the team and Skaar's divided loyalties, so watch it in order, and season 2 is where the bigger arcs land, including the S.H.I.E.L.D. manhunt and the Kree invasion. It's aimed at kids, so the jokes come first and the drama second, which suits younger fans better than adults looking for a serious Hulk story.
