About The Daily Bugle: Season 2

Season 2 covers the lead-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home and continues after it. With Peter Parker's identity public, Jameson keeps his smear campaign going, while a new correspondent pushes back: Betty Brant, Peter's classmate at Midtown and an unpaid intern handed the Bugle's TikTok account. Episodes cover Peter's release after a round of police questioning, a Spider-Menace tip line, "savies" (selfies with superheroes), stuck webs, a power-grid incident and Jameson's "Web of Lies" report about Peter's supposed birth certificate.

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios produced it again as marketing, this time for No Way Home, with J.K. Simmons as Jameson and Angourie Rice reprising her film role as Betty Brant. Episodes premiered on TikTok and later moved to YouTube, running from November 24, 2021, to April 29, 2022. The format shifted from news broadcast to vertical, social-video segments, and the No Way Home TikTok campaign was nominated for a Shorty Award.

How to watch it

Watch Far From Home and season 1 first, then watch these episodes around Spider-Man: No Way Home. The earlier episodes work as a warm-up, and the 2022 ones play best after the film. Rice's Betty gives the season a lighter, sillier tone than season 1. The episodes are short and easy to watch in one sitting. A separate four-episode Morbius run followed in March 2022, if you want the full Bugle set.
