About Ultimate Spider-Man
Ultimate Spider-Man has Nick Fury recruiting Peter Parker into S.H.I.E.L.D. training with a squad of teen heroes: Luke Cage as Power Man, Danny Rand as Iron Fist, Ava Ayala as White Tiger and Sam Alexander as Nova. Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin and Venom are the main threats, with Doc Ock eventually leading the Sinister Six. Later seasons take on new subtitles, Web-Warriors for season 3 and vs. the Sinister 6 for season 4, and season 3's Spider-Verse arc brings in other Spider-Men.
Marvel Animation and Film Roman made it for Disney XD, with Man of Action as supervising producers and Brian Michael Bendis and Paul Dini among the writers. It ran for four seasons and 104 episodes from April 2012 to January 2017. Drake Bell voices Peter, Chi McBride is Nick Fury, with Ogie Banks, Greg Cipes, Caitlyn Taylor Love, Logan Miller, Matt Lanter, Steven Weber and Tom Kenny in the main cast. Reviews were mixed, from Variety calling it a misfire to Common Sense Media giving it four of five stars.

How to watch it
Watch in order, as each season builds on the last. Pair it with Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. if you want to catch the crossovers. The season 3 Spider-Verse arc is the standout for fans of the Spider-Verse films. Its jokey tone makes it best for younger viewers and families; fans after a more serious Spider-Man should try the 1994 series first.
