Why it’s worth knowing about
The Inhuman royal family is driven from Attilan on the Moon to Hawaii. Self-contained, and later MCU titles don’t reference it.
About Inhumans: Season 1
Inhumans follows the royal family of Attilan, the hidden Inhuman city on the moon. After Black Bolt's brother Maximus leads a military coup, the family escapes to Hawaii. Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal and her teleporting dog Lockjaw have to survive on Earth, regroup and find a way to save themselves and their people. Along the way they cross paths with Louise, a human scientist played by Ellen Woglom.
Scott Buck created the series for ABC and Marvel Television. Anson Mount plays Black Bolt and Iwan Rheon plays Maximus, with Serinda Swan, Ken Leung, Eme Ikwuakor, Isabelle Cornish and Ellen Woglom. It was filmed in Hawaii in 2017. The first two episodes premiered on IMAX screens on September 1, 2017, and the eight-episode season aired weekly on ABC from September 29 to November 10. Critics panned it, with an 11% Rotten Tomatoes score, ratings were low, and ABC canceled the show in May 2018.

How to watch it
Watch Inhumans after the Inhuman storylines of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which introduced the species and Terrigen crystals starting in its second season. It's only eight episodes, so it's a quick watch. Mostly, though, it's for completists and fans of the Royal Family from the comics.
