About Daredevil: Season 2
With Fisk behind bars, season 2 splits Matt Murdock's attention between two new arrivals. The first is Frank Castle, a former Marine killing his way through New York's gangs after his family's death, whose methods force Matt and Karen to ask where justice ends and murder begins. The second is Elektra Natchios, Matt's old flame, who pulls him back toward his mentor Stick and the Hand, an ancient organization with plans for New York. Juggling both nearly wrecks Matt's law practice and his friendship with Foggy.
Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez took over as showrunners from Steven S. DeKnight. Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Rosario Dawson return, joined by Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Élodie Yung as Elektra, with Scott Glenn back as Stick. All 13 episodes came out on March 18, 2016. Reviews were good (81% on Rotten Tomatoes), with praise for Bernthal and the action, though some critics missed Fisk.

- Vincent D'Onofrio returns as Fisk midseason in a prison storyline.
- Élodie Yung's Elektra carries straight into The Defenders.
How to watch it
Watch after season 1 and before The Defenders, which builds on this season's Hand storyline. The Punisher dominates the early episodes, with "New York's Finest" as the highlight, before the Hand takes over. Watch it before The Punisher series, since Frank's story continues there.
