About The Avengers: United They Stand
United They Stand drops Captain America, Iron Man and Thor from the main roster and focuses on a lesser-known team based on the 1980s West Coast Avengers. Ant-Man leads a group that includes Wasp, Wonder Man, Tigra, Hawkeye, Falcon, Vision and Scarlet Witch. They face Ultron, Kang the Conqueror, the Masters of Evil and Zodiac, and suit up in special armor that adapts to extreme environments and boosts their powers.
The series aired on Fox Kids from October 30, 1999, to February 26, 2000, for 13 episodes. Fox Kids first asked for an Avengers show in 1997, but Marvel's bankruptcy stalled it until late 1998. Eric and Julia Lewald developed it, Ron Myrick directed and produced, and Avi Arad and Stan Lee were among the executive producers. The voice cast includes Rod Wilson as Ant-Man, Linda Ballantyne as Wasp, Tony Daniels as Hawkeye and John Stocker as Ultron. It was canceled the same day its last episode aired.
