Why it matters now
It's a light LEGO riff on the time-travel plot of Avengers: Endgame, complete with the quantum tunnel, and the last LEGO special before Code Red.
About LEGO Marvel Avengers: Time Twisted
LEGO Marvel Avengers: Time Twisted is a 22-minute animated special from Atomic Cartoons, made for Marvel and the LEGO Group. It was released on January 17, 2022, on Disney+. In it, Thanos steals the quantum tunnel, and the Avengers go after him to stop him rewriting history. If that sounds like Avengers: Endgame in brick form, that's the joke.
The voice cast carries over from Loki in Training: Giles Panton as Iron Man, Ian Hanlin as Thor (and Ant-Man), Michael Daingerfield as Captain America, James Blight as the Hulk and Deven Mack as Thanos. Gavin Hignigh created it. It's the third Atomic Cartoons LEGO Avengers special after Climate Conundrum and Loki in Training. Code Red followed in 2023 with a new voice cast.
Good to know
- Released January 17, 2022, per Atomic Cartoons; listed as a Disney+ title.
- One 22-minute special, created by Gavin Hignigh.
- Thanos and the quantum tunnel drive the plot, a nod to Avengers: Endgame.
- Ian Hanlin voices both Thor and Ant-Man.
- The last special with this voice cast; Code Red (2023) recast the Avengers.
How to watch it
It stands on its own, but Loki in Training comes first and uses the same cast and the same Thanos. Fans who have seen Avengers: Endgame will get more of the quantum tunnel gags, though kids don't need it. If you're working through the LEGO specials in order, watch this before Code Red (2023), where the Avengers get new voices.
