Avengers: Doomsday Cast and Every Confirmed Character

Marvel revealed most of the Doomsday cast in a five-hour chair livestream in March 2025, and later announcements brought it to 31 confirmed characters, the biggest ensemble in MCU history. Here is everyone, grouped by the storyline they come from.

The villain: Doctor Doom

• Robert Downey Jr., Victor von Doom. The actor who launched the MCU as Iron Man returns as its biggest villain. Announced at SDCC 2024, he is the threat the rest of the Multiverse Saga builds toward.

Sam Wilson's Avengers and their allies

• Anthony Mackie, Sam Wilson / Captain America. Rebuilding the Avengers after Brave New World.
• Chris Hemsworth, Thor. So far the only one of the original six Avengers confirmed besides Steve Rogers.
• Paul Rudd, Scott Lang / Ant-Man. Back after Quantumania, with more Quantum Realm experience than anyone on the team.
• Letitia Wright, Shuri / Black Panther. Wakanda's protector.
• Winston Duke, M'Baku. Wakanda's king-sized ally.
• Simu Liu, Shang-Chi. The Ten Rings are calling.
• Danny Ramirez, Joaquin Torres / Falcon. Sam's wingman, now fully suited up.
• Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Namor. Talokan's king, ally or enemy depending on the tide.
• Mabel Cadena, Namora. Namor's cousin and most trusted warrior, back from Wakanda Forever.
• Kathryn Newton, Cassie Lang. Scott's daughter, last seen holding her own in the Quantum Realm.

The New Avengers (Thunderbolts*)

• Florence Pugh, Yelena Belova. The team's de facto leader.
• Sebastian Stan, Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. The veteran holding the misfits together.
• David Harbour, Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian.
• Wyatt Russell, John Walker / U.S. Agent. Sam's rival, now forced onto the same battlefield.
• Hannah John-Kamen, Ava Starr / Ghost.
• Lewis Pullman, Bob / Sentry. The most powerful, and most unstable, person on the board.

The Fantastic Four

• Pedro Pascal, Reed Richards.
• Vanessa Kirby, Sue Storm.
• Joseph Quinn, Johnny Storm.
• Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ben Grimm.

The X-Men

• Patrick Stewart, Professor X.
• Ian McKellen, Magneto.
• James Marsden, Cyclops.
• Rebecca Romijn, Mystique.
• Alan Cumming, Nightcrawler.
• Kelsey Grammer, Beast.
• Channing Tatum, Gambit.

Six of these are the Fox-era X-Men, entering the main MCU story for the first time; Tatum's Gambit debuted in Deadpool & Wolverine. Deadpool & Wolverine is the primer; see our five character threads.

The multiverse players

• Chris Evans, Steve Rogers. The original Captain America returns after handing Sam the shield at the end of Endgame.
• Hayley Atwell, Peggy Carter. Back alongside Evans, which makes Endgame's final scene essential viewing again.
• Tom Hiddleston, Loki. The god holding all timelines together. If Doom is breaking the multiverse, Loki feels it first.

Also appearing

A few more names weren’t part of Marvel’s main cast announcements, so they aren’t counted above. The most notable is India Rose Hemsworth, who returns as Love from Thor: Love and Thunder; Marvel’s December 2025 Thor teaser shows her. Other reported names should be treated as likely rather than confirmed until Marvel says so.
